Blu by name and nature – The architecturally stunning Radisson Blu features a beautiful blue backlit facade. A monolithic, highly sculptured design this hotel facade illustrates perfectly how Petrarch Panels are an ideal choice for contemporary hotel architects and designers. Here, the striking grid facade has been finished in Petrarch Panels in Alabaster, Smooth Matt for a stand-out modern look.

In the words of BINST Architects:

‘Part of a major development on the station area of Bruges. The project is designed as a valuable sculptural addition to the parking boulevard and has an identity that belongs to the functions. A fresh and inviting appearance for the hotel of 106 rooms + 3 suites and a light openness for the offices behind are all combined in a beautifully elegant grid facade. A white crocheted pattern that marks the hotel as a voile or interpretation from the Bruges side. This building is the new flagship of Belgium for the Carlson Rezidor group.’

‘On the railway side, the building contains offices with a company restaurant intended for Proximus. To the east, the 4-star ‘Radisson Blu’ hotel has 106 guest rooms, 3 luxury suites on the 11th floor, and several conference rooms on the 12th floor, downstairs houses a brasserie. The Penthouses are located on top of the office building and the hotel. These 17 luxury apartments offering hotel services are equipped with two or three bedrooms, large living spaces, spacious covered terraces, and panoramic windows, providing a fantastic view of Bruges’ historical heritage.’

A beautiful example of an eye-catching Petrarch Panel hospitality project. Radisson Blu showcases how our reconstituted stone panel can be utilised as a contrast facade; working in harmony with both contemporary and traditional materials. It also clearly demonstrates how Petrarch can be used for banding and column applications.
