<\/span><\/div>Petrarch Celebrates International Mother Earth Day with a Petrarch showcase<\/h1><\/h1><\/div>Petrarch Reconstituted Stone clad Technology & Innovation Centre achieves BREEAM Excellence.<\/h3>\n<\/div>We\u2019re doffing our hats to Mother Earth on International Mother Earth Day, by taking a closer look at one of our most prestigious and super \u2018green\u2019 Petrarch reconstituted stone facade projects \u2013 whose very design has been engineered to improve the future. Boasting an impressive BREEAM Excellence rating, TIC ticks all those important \u2018sustainable design\u2019 and enhanced energy boxes.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s also fitting given the sad passing of Prince Phillip recently, to pay homage with a little highlight of both he and the Queen celebrating the achievements of the TIC \u2013 a centre dedicated to research which addresses the world\u2019s environmental and climate challenges:<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

ITREZ is a global research & development hub, bringing business and academia together to work together on the development of the offshore renewables sector.<\/p>\n
BDP\u2019s Technology & Innovation Centre \u2013 5 years of excellence.<\/strong><\/p>\nTime flies when you\u2019re busy innovating. The Technology and Innovation Centre (TIC) was officially opened by\u00a0Her Majesty The Queen and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh in July 2015.\u00a0 Fast forward five years and our landmark Centre has transformed the way academics collaborate with business, industry and the public sector.\u00a0From work in medicine manufacturing to award-winning conference and events and groundbreaking research the Technology and Innovation Centre has truly embraced collaborative working across sectors.\u00a0See more here.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
A quote from our Managing Director, Pete Brough:<\/b><\/p>\n\n\u2018I have to say we\u2019re particularly proud of this Petrarch project, not only because of the nature of what the Technology and Innovation Centre represents as an icon for positive environmental change and innovation, but also because it has been awarded \u2018Excellent\u2019 for its sustainable design standards \u2013 thanks to the brilliance of BDP architects and our collaborators. It\u2019s a shining example on all counts and so it\u2019s important to give it a little limelight on International Mother Earth Day!\u2019<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\nPetrarch Reconstituted Stone Facade \u2013 Environmentally Conscious Manufacture<\/b><\/span><\/p>\nAs a premium quality facade solution, we\u2019re pleased to share that our reconstituted stone cladding, Petrarch, is created predominantly from 80% crushed marble and stone \u2013 a natural by-product of the mining process. Wherever possible we look to reduce our environmental footprint and encourage environmentally friendly processes as standard.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
