Petrarch Panels Shortlisted 3 Times in RCI Magazine’s Facade Awards<\/h1>\n

It’s a hat-trick shortlisted for Petrarch Panels<\/h2>\n

We are thrilled to share the news that our reconstituted stone cladding, Petrarch Panels, have been nominated not once, but three times in this year’s RCI Magazine’s Facade Awards.<\/p>\n

Anyone involved in preparing award pitches and applications, knows how frantic it can all get – ensuring that the projects are thoroughly researched and positioned to their best advantage. We are extremely thankful to our clients for the time they consecrated, and also thankful for being nominated by CCS Facades!<\/p>\n

We are extremely proud to have been nominated, it’s an honour to be counted amongst the UK’s foremost and revered facade manufacturers and facade contractors and hopefully this also reflects our commitment to being the best facade manufacturer we can be. We’re looking forward to the 7th of November and naturally have everything crossed.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Homebase, Wandsworth, with CCS Facades<\/h3>\n

Design, supply and installation of Petrarch A2-rated reconstituted stone rainscreen panels, integrated with Sotech Optima FC+ hook-on system. Delivered across five blocks (9\u201316 storeys), including 480 mixed-tenure apartments and a shared ground-level car park, office and retail space. A complex high-rise scheme boasting high-performance fa\u00e7ades in a mixed-use setting.<\/p>\n<\/div>

“This high-profile project presented numerous challenges, particularly in achieving the desired effect of an irregular faceted facade pattern on a monolithic building. To create such a standout impact, we developed nine unique facade modules, which standardised the construction process while maintaining the facade’s irregularity. Additionally, this overcame the challenges of installing fire stops in a varying cavity depth on a complicated facade. Finally, the choice of facade material was crucial. Initially, our client preferred a solid stone design, but it soon became clear that this would exceed the budget. Petrarch panels, with their reconstituted stone and marble composition, provided the look and feel of natural stone at a more favourable price point. Beyond cost, Petrarch’s striking aesthetic and lightweight versatility facilitated easy on-site installation, quickly winning over our clients.”<\/p>\n<\/div>

This project also encompassed very specific detail elements, intricate routing, panelling, banding and precise colour-matching, as well as an immense application – Smugglers Way boasts an expanse of our reconstituted stone Petrarch Panels, all of which depended on accurate and consistent colour tones.<\/p>\n

Petrarch Panels brings a sense of pride and place to Walton Court. <\/span>Both Saunders Architect and developer Crest Nicholson turned to Petrarch as an elegant and cost-effective alternative to natural stone or GRC cladding.<\/h3>\n
\n

Set on the site of the former Birds Eye headquarters, both the client and architect were keen to retain a sense of prestige and place with this development. The original listed building had stood empty for more than a decade and couldn’t viably be retained as part of the new residential scheme. Nevertheless, the striking design of the original fa\u00e7ade was a key influence in the design of the new development. Both the client and architect turned to a facade material which emulated stone, whilst answering all the requirements of a modern day built; a cladding solution which covered off essential requirements such as durability, impact and fire resistance. Another key point was the addition of a 50 year guarantee on behalf of the supplier when teamed with Downer Framing. In comparison to GRC and stone counterparts, Petrarch is visually on-point, yet light-weight and easy-to-install which accelerates on-site installation.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The certification that Petrarch also has to boast formed a part of the decision process, having recently attained EPD certification, alongside Best-in-Class CWCT testing and BBA certification. During the decision process a number of case studies were presented which demonstrated the strength of the product for similar types of schemes<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
