Petrarch Panels – proud to support Eden Facades

We’re so pleased to have been able to support Eden Facades with the supply of our reconstituted stone rainscreen cladding, Petrarch, and Downer framing secret fix system for this next generation care home.

We’ve had the privilege of working with Eden Facades on multiple successful facade projects. This is yet another excellent example of just what can be achieved when everyone pulls together in the same direction. As a premium quality facade solution provider, it goes without saying that we are always confident that our Petrarch Panels are going to be beautifully installed by Eden’s expert team. The project images more than attest to that. We look forward to collaborating with you on future projects and thank you as always for your custom.

Eden Facades Scope of Works

‘Our scope of work included installing of the custom coloured cream Petrarch rainscreen cladding, a mechanically fixed system known for its natural aesthetics, robustness, and longevity. This cladding, chosen for its ability to blend seamlessly with the surroundings, provides extreme weather resistance to A2,s1-do and has a proven performance and life expectancy of over 30 years.’

‘Bronze aluminium rainscreen cladding fascias on balconies and panels were also installed as feature cladding across various sections of the building.’

Eden Facades case study outlines the extent of the project in great detail. We thought we’d highlight those challenges below:

A collaborative spirit helps to overcoming challenges

We certainly share their approach when it comes to ensuring successful delivery on rainscreen cladding projects.

Kevin Johal, Design Manager at Eden Facades outlines how design challenges were overcome:

During the design process, when deciding the widths of the panels, we size as close as we can to the design in intent. Depending on the standard of how big a panel can be, sometimes the architect is not aware our panel can be a certain size or it can be cut to a certain size. Thats the difference we offer as a specialist subcontractor. We will then liaise with the client to ensure that theyre happy with our proposed solution.

For this project, secret fix rainscreen cladding was chosen. This adds concealed fasteners to create a seamless and refined exterior surface appeal but also offers structural benefits by minimising moisture infiltration and optimising ventilation. From a design perspective, this brings its challenges:

With a normal bracket and rail build-up installation, there is more tolerance for where panels could go. To ensure every aspect lines up, the design needs to be spot on—to the millimetre—which allows the installers to fit the panels accurately. Fortunately, this did not pose any problem, and this allowed the project to progress without any delay.”

Thank you to Paul Michaelson, Eden Facades Construction Director, for these kind words:

“We collaborated with Architectural Panels Solutions, as we required Petrarch reconstituted stone cladding panels for Kingsley Healthcare. Tom was accommodating throughout the process. Excellent communication and service ensured we completed the project to our clients satisfaction. We have no hesitation in recommending them to others and plan to engage their services again for future projects.”
